Wore it on a cold morning trail run and the ZoneKnit panels really let heat escape where I needed it—stayed dry even when my pace picked up. The merino is soft enough to wear against the skin all day, not scratchy at all.

The fabric is noticeably denser than my other base layers without feeling stiff, and the mesh-like panels under the arms really let me move freely during cold morning runs without overheating. I’ve worn it for a few sweaty hikes now and it still doesn’t hold odor the way my old synthetic tops did.

I was skeptical about shelling out for merino, but the ZoneKnit panels really do pull their weight—my back stayed dry on a steep climb while my arms stayed warm on the descent. The 260 weight is substantial without feeling bulky.
